Planting & Care

Sunlight: Pick a spot outdoors where your seedlings will get full sunshine and plenty of warmth during the day.

Soil: Melons grow best on well-drained, sandy loam soils, with a pH between 6.0 and 6.5.

Water: Water deeply and infrequently, one to two inches per week.

Temperature: temperature must be above 70 degrees F (21 degrees C) before you begin planting

Fertilizer: fertilize your plant beds using compost or a natural fertilizer from a nursery or home and garden store
